Beach Corner Seafood Restaurant Review

Batu Ferringhi, Penang is famous for its night market as well as a famous beach tourism place where you will observe the entire 5 star hotel is located. In other word, this place is like a magnet which draws lot of tourism during the holiday season. During night time, it is fun to walk along the night market and negotiate for the best price of your beloved items.

Along the Batu Ferringhi Street, you will also observe that there are lots of restaurant as well as hawker stall to choose. The question is, which should you choose that can balance the food quality and price? Today, we are going to review on Beach Corner Seafood restaurant.

Main entrance

Beach Corner Seafood Restaurant is located beside Tarbush and The Ship. At the main entrance, you see the Beach corner Seafood logo and BBQ Nights logo. Upon walking into the restaurant’s walkway, you will found that there are actually 2 restaurants within. Restaurant on the left hand side serve western food and alcohol call BBQ Nights where as Beach Corner Seafood Restaurant is on your right.

The Environment

This restaurant is sited beside the beach. You can either choose to dine on the beach or inside the restaurant. Wow!!!  After you have place the order, you can  actually walk along the beach prior to the dish is being served. Below picture show the view from the seaside.

Besides eating seafood, you can enjoy some beer at the beach as well.  This is kind of romantic where you are sitting below the moon and being lid by a candle light.

How does the food taste?

We have ordered 4 dishes for the dinner. Here is what we have ordered.

Curry Fish head – RM 24

The curry fish head is kind of cheap and it does taste really good. The fish is fresh and the curry is nicely blended with the fish. The lady finger is soft and tender.

Sweet and Sour Crab – RM 65

The size of the crab is considered big and it is being cooked in sweet and sour paste.  The hard shell of the crab is being pre-cracked so that the sweet and sour paste can be absorbed into the meat. The crab is fresh and it is really worth a try on this dishes.

Belacan Fried chicken – Rm15

Scramble egg – RM 12

Overall, the taste of all the dishes is above normal. The only negative thing is the actual dish setting is not that nice. The chef did not decorated and touches up the dishes prior release to customer. Well, here is where we will need to balance between the prices vs. taste vs. decoration.
